SIDEWALL GAS POWER VENTERS

Side Wall Vent Systems save time and money and are excellent for electric to gas/oil, renovations, new construction or for replacing deteriorated chimneys. Side wall venting saves costly materials and labor on two, three or more story runs. It also increases living space by cutting out interior chases. Proven safety interlocks assure proper exhaust, a feature conventional chimneys do not offer in today's homes and buildings.

Tjernlund Auto Draft Inducers assure positive draft when restricted boilers and furnaces, poor chimneys or negative pressures in building prevent proper exhaust of combustion gas. The venturi action on Tjernlund Auto-Draft Inducers starts air moving up the stack instantly, keeps it moving smoothly. These units are quick and easy to install and completely automatic in operation. Tjernlund's unique design and careful construction makes them trouble-free and reduces maintenance to a minimum. The Vari-Draft Control permits adjustment to the individual job requirement.
 

COMBUSTION AIR

THE PROBLEMS:
Conventional metal louvers used for combustion air intake in commercial heating equipment installations are often a major source of problems:

Lack of adequate, controlled combustion air decreases heating equipment efficiencies, causes nuisance shutdowns or damaging flame roll-outs.

Building maintenance personnel have blocked or disabled combustion air intake louvers to make the mechanical room more comfortable.

Exhaust fans in restaurant kitchens and exhaust processes in factories can cause combustion air problems.

Other potential problems associated with conventional louvered intakes include: broken or malfunctioning blades, ease of vandalism and unwanted entry, unsightly appearance and negative pressure due to aspirating effect of strong wind.

THE SOLUTION:
Tjernlund's family of IN-FORCERS are packaged systems engineered to provide controlled, interlocked combustion air.

IN-FORCERS come complete with motorized air intakes blowers, operating/interlock controls and matched intake hoods.

The intake hood can be mounted either on a sidewall or roof. Its low profile design prohibits entry of rain and snow.

A key benefit of the IN-FORCER is that the size of the wall opening can be reduced up to 80% compared to that required for standard metal louvers. This smaller opening translates to considerable savings in construction labor and material, plus added flexibility in choosing the best combustion air intake location.
